01

What you're going through

Maybe some of this sounds familiar.

You're not the only one. Not by a long way.

You love your baby more than you knew you could - and at times you miss your old life.

Everyone asks how the baby is. No one asks how you are.

Some days are hard - and then a gummy smile undoes you completely.

You can be covered in someone else's sick, running on no sleep, and completely besotted.

Some days you feel like a stranger in your own life.

You can be laughing and crying in the same five minutes - and not know why.

None of it means you're failing. The good days are real too - yours to enjoy, not just get through. It's a change, not a failing.

02

How Lioria helps you

It has a name.

All of it is real - the love and the grief, the awe and the overwhelm, the sense you're in over your head and the fierce certainty you'd do anything for them - and that name is matrescence. The transition into motherhood, as real and far-reaching as adolescence, and as much about who you're becoming as it is about your baby.

Lioria is here for the whole of it - a calm, honest companion that helps you make sense of the change and feel held while you do. No advice you didn't go looking for, nothing to fix, nothing you have to do.

BEFORE DISRUPTION THE BOTH/AND INTEGRATION BECOMING
Not a straight line. It swings, it settles, and the becoming never really stops - the dips aren't a sign you're failing.

Become more fully yourself.

About the founder

Why I built Lioria.

I spent my adult life being capable and prepared - used to being in control of my time, my work, my outcomes. So I did what I knew: I prepared for pregnancy, birth, and caring for a baby. What I wasn't prepared for was how much motherhood would change me - and that it would be the first thing I couldn't plan my way through.

I was living through one of the most joyful times of my life and grieving the woman I'd been, both at once. I loved my son deeply, and I missed parts of who I used to be. At the time, I didn't have language for any of it.

Looking back, just knowing there was a name for what I was going through - and that it was a real change, not a failing - would have changed everything.

I built Lioria so no other woman spends months wondering why she feels so different.

Our mission

To support first-time mothers through the transition into motherhood.

Meeting them where they are, steadying the days they're just surviving and lifting toward more of the days they're winning, through validation, connection and trusted clarity - so that, in their own time, they can grow, become and thrive.

Lioria meets mothers where they are - time-poor, sleep-deprived, and carrying an invisible load. Support is designed to reduce pressure, never add to it.
